WW2 KNITTED GARMENTS FOR THE ROYAL NAVY HOME FRONT BADGE 

I inherrited this badge from my grandfather who served in the Second World War.  I'm not sure why or how he came to have this badge but from the research I'm done it would seem that this badge was possibly given to women who helped knit garments for the Royal Navy and who had reached a certain number of hours of service doing so.  The following two websites (http://www.worldwarwonders.co.uk/Home-Front-items/WW2-Knitted-Garments-for-the-Royal-Navy-Enamelled-badge.html?Itemid=59) and (http://www.sallysbadges.com/shop.php?c=73) are asking 12 and 18 Pounds Sterling respectively.
