WW2 'Mechanised Transport Corps' (M.T.C.) Button by 'Gaunt'
This scarce, small, WW2 brass button was worn by female volunteers of the 'Mechanised Transport Corps' (M.T.C.), which was founded in 1939 by 'Mrs G.M. Cook C.B.E.' as a voluntary civilian transport organization for women. The button is nicely tarnished and in great condition, with the makers 'GAUNT' stamp on the back and measures 16mm in diameter.
