WW2 RAF Type 06A Hand-Bearing Compass In Original Case.

A rare WW2 RAF hand-bearing compass. 

The compass rim bears the military "broad arrow" and "Type 06.A.", "AFT", "6B/1246" and "No 28554.D."  With the original black paint, the compass does turn but has not been tested.  It comes in the original fitted wooden case with canvas strap (intact). These compasses were famously uses by RAF flight crews during bombing raids over Germany.
