WW2 Silver Africa Service Medal + 1939-1945 Medal to B.Steinfeld (Rand Light Infantry).

A WW2 medal group to B.Steinfeld comprised of :

1. Solid silver Africa Service Medal with stamp to rim "84591 B.STEINFELD".

2. 1939-1945 War Medal with stamp to rim "84591 B.STEINFELD".

3. Solid brass shoulder title "RLI" (Rand Light Infantry).  

The Rand Light Infantry was mobilized for World War II in June 1940 and gained fame in North Africa where it took part in many front line engagements and earned battle honours at Bardia, Gazala and El Alamein. After the defeat of Rommel's Afrika Korps, the RLI returned to South Africa and was merged with the Duke of Edinburgh's Own Rifles.
