WW2 'South African Medical Corps' Cap Badge

 

This good quality, early, South African brass cap badge was worn by the 'South African Medical Corps' (S.A.M.C.) from 1926 to 1958 and is the 'snake head not touching laurel wreath' version. The badge is in great condition with both lugs intact and measures 44mm x 31mm.

NOTE: There were two, near identical versions of this badge over the same period, one where the snakes head touches the laurel wreath and the other where it doesn't.
