The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Applied Decal Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Insignia remains in a Good State and has been exposed to elements. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Slate Grey textured paint scheme is complete - with visible areas of age-related surface wear. Liner System and cushion remain intact. Webbing chin-strap is present- displaying a degree of field repair. Manufacturer markings and production date evident.

An EXCELLENT example of Second World War, 1940s Union Defence Force Brodie MKII Steel Helmet w/ Applied Unit Decal. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Slate Grey textured Paint Relief on  obverse and reverse. All insignia present. Appropriate  Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Hand-applied Unit Decal is clearly defined and legible - featuring the Letters :  S.O.  accompanied by a Lightning Bolt figure. The Decal has of yet not been , identified or linked with a specific formation. 

The original webbing chin-strap is present with Steel adjustable buckle - it appears that the strap has been subject to a field repair. Lining suspension system is complete with oil-cloth fittings and internal cushion. All manufacturers marks and production date are evident.
