An EXCELLENT example of World War 2 , 1940s U.S. Army M1 Browning .30 Calibre Machine Gun Steel Ammunition Tin. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse and reverse. All insignia/ nomenclature present.Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Structural integrity of container is in good order. Some degree of surface wear / rust will be evident due to age and general handling. Original Olive Drab Camouflage paint is present with stenciled information applied. Manufacturer Stamp & U.S. Ordnance 'Flaming Grenade' acceptance mark is visible.
Collapsible carry-handle is complete, with additional hinges for suspension on Mounted M1 Machine Guns. Closure fixture system is intact and functions when engaged- locking mechanism securely.
