In a nutshell:
Reckon youve got what it takes to become the WWE world heavyweight champion again? The best wrestling game in the world is back with a whole new season of mayhem for you to battle through.

The lowdown:
Truth be told this isnt markedly different from the first Day of Reckoning, but its still an improvement nonetheless, with better graphics, better animation and more intelligent opponents. The roster has widened slightly with new faces like Eugene and Paul London appearing alongside unlockable classics, including Hulk Hogan and The Rock. The most notable new features are a paper, rock, scissors style submission system, and the new stamina bar, both of which add an extra layer of strategy to the carnage.

Most exciting moment:
Using the new submission system to bring a whole new world of pain to your opponents.

Since you ask:
All the GameCube and PS2 WWE games, and Konamis Rumble Roses, are by a Japanese developer called Yuke who specialises almost solely in wrestling games.

The bottom line:
Not much has changed: this is still the best wrestling game around.
