(This badge is part of a private collection that was collected 25 years ago) 

This original, obsolete Canadian Expeditionary Forces (C.E.F.) cap badge is in excellent condition with both lugs intact. The 180th (Sportsmen) Battalion was a unit in the C.E.F. It was formed in Toronto in 1915, calling itself the Sportsmen Battalion (hoping to entice athletes to the ranks) and was disbanded in 1920. It measures 5.2cm x 4.5cm.
