WWII British Military Aerial Lens 5inch f4 ref. No 14A/1101 Large Format Lens

This is the 5 inch version used early on in the war before being replaced with an 8 inch. Said to be sharp wide open. Almost certainly a design licensed from the German Carl Zeiss company. Quite likely involved in the bombing of Germany.
It looks very much like a Ross Xpres 5 inch F/4.

The lens shows signs of use, there is no haze or fungus but there are some scratches on the lens.

I wasn't really able to pick them up on the photos but the lens will still be usable as it is

Used in large format aerial photography by the WWII planes. These are the same lenses produced by Ross Of London but for the British military

Aperture is fully functional
