Used during the Second World War, the fight against the German where all commonwealth countries countered Rommel's Africa Corps in Desert Warfare. WWII British/South African RARE Desert Camouflage (Desert Rats) Helmet, this Helmet was used by either the South African's or British, as they all got mixed up and equipment and paints used on everything for anything as they used what ever they had left, what makes the two helmets I've got so unique and special is that they were done up using the brighter red or almost orange military paint as hand painted insignia as these guys joined the Desert Rats, so believe me when I say that if any of these were ever faked, a good fake would be done up in the harsh dark red that the British normally used as for the brighter red or almost orange paint, these were used by the South Africans and the British also used the same paint during the war and these helmets are very rare, I am lucky to have found these! This helmet is in a wonderful 100% Condition and it's insignia also very well intact.. The Helmet Net comes with the Helmet as it is possibly original with the Helmet, but don't really know.. all I know is that i got this helmet just like this without the field dressing 1st aid kit in the net that I put in there myself for show! Please email me for pictures and close-up of the decal and all of the rest.
