The gloves are in excellent condition, no tears or cracks, no loose threads. The leather is soft and supple and was given a leather balm treatment to prevent it from drying out too much.
The insides are stamped with the size ( 8 and a half), the makers mark, manufacture date of 1941 as well as serial numbers. They were also stamped with the South African Police Stores (Pretoria) stamp in 1947 and issued to MC Craemer.
Both gloves have all the above mentioned marks and stamps and will be an excellent addition to any collection. Rarely are gloves like these found in such a great condition with all the markings.
