This machete, with a CASE XX stamp on the blade, has been used but still seems to be in a good condition considering it dates back to the 1940s. It comes with its original blade cover and the blades still shows bluing on both sides. On Google, it is noted that this machete was a component of the WWII U.S. Navy M-592 Back Pad Survival Kit.
