Group of WWII medals correctly named to P.H. Bingham. He received fatal wounds to his abdomen and chest (caused by flack) during the Battle of Alamein whilst flying in a Douglas Boston III on a bombing raid. The detailed account of this fateful action and mention of Bingham is described in "Per Noctem Per Diem - The story of 24 Squadron - South African Air Force".
