When you use the Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit, the DVD movie loads, but the DVD remote control does not function.
THINGS TO TRY
1.     Make sure that you plugged the DVD infrared receiver in one of theports on the front of the console.
2.     Verify that the batteries of the DVD remote control are still functional. You can test them in another device or use new batteries instead.
3.     Unplug the infrared receiver and plug it in a different port.
4.     Reset the remote control. To do this, remove the batteries from the remote, press each button on the remote control two times, and then replace the batteries.
