The dustjacket and book are in fair condition. The top board edges and top 1cm of the spine band have been nibbled. Some paperloss from the dustjacket. Stamps to the end-papers. Paperblock edges are dusty and the fore-edge is stained. Pages xv + 180 including the index.
VOLUME 2 - TOWNSMEN or TRIBESMEN:  MAYER, Philip. 1965, Fourth impression. Conservatism and the process of urbanization in a South African City. The dustjacket is in fair condition only the hinge of the rear flyleaf is heavily nibbled and is very fragile. The book is in good condition. Owner's name to the front end-paper. Paperblock edges are tanned/dusty. Pages xvi + 306 with some illustrations and a fold-out map following the index.
