This is a mint condition Royal Doulton “Top of the Hill” porcelain figurine, marked HN1834 with the initials HS, on the bottom of the piece. She's a beautiful young woman, holding her hat with one hand and holding down her skirt and petticoats against the wind with the other. A multi colored scarf wraps around her shoulders. Her contrasting neckerchief and ruffled petticoats are sweet details. She was designed by Leslie Harradine and copyrighted in 1937. The number Rd No 822821, the HN 1834 number is painted on the left, and the initials HS appear on the right below the name and Royal Doulton backstamp. She stands about 185mm tall . There are no chips, cracks, flakes or other condition issues. |
