A vintage Japanese porcelain miniature ginger jar with a matching domed lid, produced by Yamaji. The white glazed body is decorated with a detailed transfer pattern featuring a blue bird perched on a brier rose branch with pink blossoms. The rim of the lid and the top finial are completed with a gilded gold finish.

MARKINGS

  • Backstamp on base: Printed in grey/black script reading "YAMAJI" above a square maker's mark seal, with "JAPAN" underneath.
