Yardlong Bean, also called Chinese Long Bean or Asparagus Bean, is a vigorous climbing annual and the plant begins to produce long pods, ranging from 30 to 75 cm, 60 days after sowing. The pods hang in pairs that should be picked for vegetable uses before matured.

Edible pods are very crisp, tender and delicious. Long beans are cut into shorter sections and cooked like common green beans. Yardlong beans are quick-growing and daily harvesting is often a necessity.

The seeds you buy is not imported but are from Yardlong Beans that has been grown in South Africa.

Please note you buy a packet of 10 seeds.
