Yarrow is a great winter herb to plant in those patches or lonely pots that look so sad and nothing wants to grow there. Yarrow is cold loving and will be forgiving about the soil type in full sun.
Sow seeds and lightly cover with soil. Ensure the soil is nice and lose for the roots to easily grow. Cover with mulch like dried leaves to ensure that your seeds don't sprout and dry out. That is the crutial part. Once yarrow has taken it will forgive droughts, rainy spells and the like.
