Yellow Dock is a medicinal plant, it is used for pain and swelling (inflammation) of nasal passages and the respiratory tract. It is also used as a laxative and tonic.
Yellow Dock is also used to treat bacterial infections and sexually transmitted diseases. It has natural astringent properties, and can be applied topically to alleviate swelling, bruising, rashes, sores, fungal infections, insect bites, acne and eczema.
If you consume to much Yellow Dock it can cause diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, excessive urination, skin irritation and low blood levels of potassium and calcium. Preferably not consumed raw or uncooked.
