Yellow Dock is a medicinal plant, grown for the yellow root, but the leaves and flower can consumed in teas. 

Yellow dock should not be consumed raw or uncooked.

Nutritional Facts: oxalate and tannin, anthraquinones including emodin, aloe emodin, chrysophanol, rhein and physcion; rutin, Vitamin C and also carotenoids like beta-carotene, chlorophyll, organic acids like malix, oxalic, tannic, tartaric and citric)

Health Facts: Used for pain and swelling (inflammation) of nasal passages and respiratory tract, also used as a laxative and tonic, can also be used to treat bacterial infections and sexually transmitted diseases.  The natural extracted oils can be applied topically to help heal swelling, bruising, rashes, sores, fungal infections, insect bites, acne and eczema.

You should not consume to much of Yellow Dock as it is a laxative and will cause diarrhea, nausea, cramps, excessive urination, low blood levels of potassium and calcium.  

Use it sparingly as needed.
