Light shelfwear, light rubbing to edges and corners, minor scuffing of foot of spine at the hinges. Corners lightly rubbed but not scuffed or bumped, still sharp. Small white speck on front cover, but boards are still reasonably bright and intact, with minor fading and wear around edges. Gilt lettering on spine bright and intact.
Library stamp and damage due to sticker removal on front free endpaper; numeral inscribed. Foxing on edges of text block only, one or two instances extended onto the margins. Isolated small brown spot on front and rear endpapers each; persists on the half-title; thereafter the text block clean with three or four instances of isolated small light brown stains, a light finger smudge or two.
Binding tight. Text complete, no loose or missing pages, no tears. Text block clean: no inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no marginalia.
Dust Jacket condition: Fair. Price clipped, closed tears cutting into the hinges, with moderate chipping at head and foot of jacket spine. Light brown stain on front flap. Top of back cover creased. Jacket reasonably clean, with some foxing along the edges and hinges. Sticker ghost on the lower spine. Light foxing along the back hinge, top edge and spine.
