Yoomi was created by Farah and Jim, a Mum and Dad whose experiences of bottle feeding and warming for their son, who was born 6 weeks early, inspired them to look for a better solution. Farah was a lawyer working in London and Jim a former BMW design engineer and CEO of a product design company. The combination of Farah's inspiration and Jim's engineering skills together with support from industry experts, led to the creation of Yoomi, the world's first self-warming baby feeding bottle the only bottle that will warm your baby's milk in 60 seconds, anytime and anywhere at the press of a button.

Our self-warming bottles are fully portable, warming your baby's feed in just 60 seconds, anytime, anywhere. So they're perfect when you're out and about or for those middle of the night feeds.
A unique design.
Just press the orange button and the smart technology in the Yoomi warmer will warm the milk, straight from the fridge, in 60 seconds.
The cold milk is gently heated as it flows through the specially designed channels on the outside of the warmer. By the time the milk reaches the teat, it's at perfect breastmilk temperature (32-34 deg C).
The smart warmer will stay warm for up to one hour. It uses the same gel as found in hand warmers, a non-toxic, food-grade concentrated salt solution (also used in ice cream). We've coloured it with blue food dye so it's easy to spot.

Traditional heating methods warm the entire bottle of milk, causing rapid bacterial growth. The longer your baby takes to feed, the longer the bacteria have to multiply, significantly reducing the milk's nutritional and immunological value.
So we've designed the Yoomi warmer to only warm milk as your baby feeds. This means the milk remains cool until the sucking action draws it around the warmer. The warmed milk is immediately consumed, minimising bacterial growth and ensuring your baby receives the maximum goodness.

How does the Yoomi warmer work?
The warmer works in the same way as the gel hand-warming packs that warm up when you click a metal disc inside when you press the orange button on the yoomi warmer, you're effectively clicking the metal disc and it's the phase change from liquid to solid inside the warmer that creates the instant warmth.
The cold feed is gently warmed as it flows around the specially designed channels on the outside of the warmer. By the time the feed reaches the teat, it is at natural breast milk temperature (32-34 deg C). The warmer has been carefully designed to stay warm for up to one hour.
You then need to recharge the warmer between each use. You need to take the warmer back to its liquid state inside, ready to use again.
Are the contents of the warmer safe?
Yes, the contents of the warmer are safe. The warmer contains the same gel as used in commonly available hand warmer packs.
The gel is a non-toxic, concentrated salt solution (It is used as an additive in ice cream). Just to be extra safe, we have added a food grade colourant so that any leaks are visible, and Bitrex®, a safe but bitter substance that will ensure that in the very unlikely event of a leak, baby will not swallow any of the solution.
Can Yoomi overheat my baby's feed?
No, it cannot. Our engineers have designed the yoomi system so that it is impossible for baby's feed to be warmed above a safe, maximum temperature (when used as instructed). This means that there is no possibility of baby being exposed to unsafe temperatures from either the bottle or the warmer.
How do I know when my warmer is ready to use (fully recharged)?
Your warmer is ready to use when:
1) it has been allowed to cool after recharge (75 minutes at room temperature or 20 minutes in cold water),
2) it rattles when you gently shake it (when warmer is cool) and 3) the button is orange.
