Yvonne was born in 1963 in the Orange Free State, South Africa.
She has a Diploma in Recreational Art, obtained in 1997, and is an Associate of the Watercolour Society of South Africa. She lives in Nelspruit and has been a full time Artist for the past 10 years.
She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions including “Art in the Park” in Pietermaritsburg and represented by Galleries countrywide.
She was invited to spend two months in Paris at the Cite’ International des Arts in 2010 which she feels was a turning point in her career.
Yvonne is passionate about painting and loves the warm vibrant colours of the African Continent
Her preferred medium is oil and acrylic and watercolour, with subject matter ranging from landscapes to flowers and figures. The paintings, in oil, have a unique style as she uses a palette knife to create an impressionistic impasto finish.
