Zaluzianskya is a genus of flowering plants now regarded as being a member of the Scrophulariaceae, the figwort family. The genus is endemic to Southern Africa and includes some sixty species described. Grown as an annual in temperate climates, this South African native is known for its fragrant flowers, which open up in the evening. Zaluzianskya villosa is a rare South African annual that reaches 20cm in height. From mid-winter to spring it puts on a profusion of extremely attractive yellow-eyed mauve pinwheel flowers. Wonderful when used in a massed display, as edging or in a mixed container.
