ZAR 1890 SIGNED BY ALOIS HUGO NELLMAPIUS - REGISTRATION DOCUMENT with ZAR Revenue Stamps £1 + 5S + 1S.

Alois Hugo Nellmapius was a businessman, industrialist and pioneer conservationalist. He is best known for intoducing miners to dynamite and became the first person to use dynamite at Pilgrim's Rest.
He also founded and owned the first newspaper The Press (known today as Pretoria's News).  Nine farms were purchased in his name on the six mile spruit (Irene Estate) for £75,000.
