ZAR 1895 HALFPOND EXCELLENT CONDITION

This is a really nice coin. Difficult to find in good condition, but possible. We have had a couple of others on BoB in recent times that were overrated as to their Condition.

Please look and decide for yourself what the condition of this coin is.

Please also look at some of the other similar coins and this one is indeed a very big BARGAIN!!!

Please note that the first photos were taken through a thin cellophane cover. In the hand the coin looks much better. There is no discernable wear. On the Reverse there is a spot which I cannot define. It looks like a shallow hole which was on the original blank gold disc. I have added 2 more photos, 1 of the Obv and 1 of the Rev. These 2 photos were taken without the cellophane cover. This is a coin which I would grade as Almost Unc, if not Unc.

Therefore I have decided to raise the price a little. Even so it remains a BIG BARGAIN!

Mintage figures are: 134,974 of which many were melted down.

Hern's catalogue value for EF is R10,000. For UNC it's R30,000.
