ZAR POW Remembrance Coin - Ragama Camp Ceylon

This is an ultra rare find !!

I have found NO reference to similar coins anywhere.

This is a 30mm penny-sized coin dated 1902.

On the obverse it is dated with the words: "BRITSCHE  BESCHAVING".

On the reverse the edge wording reads: "RAGAMA  KAMP  HERINNERING".

In the middle of the reverse the wording reads: "SCUM  OF  THE  SCUM".

Original owner was Cmdt CTM Wilcocks, POW RAGAMA camp Ceylon. He was captured with Gen Cronje at Paardeberg 28 Feb 1900

Although the original owner was a RAGAMA camp POW during the Anglo-Boer War, the origin of the coin is unknown.
