Zeiss Ikon Contina-matic III Manufactured from 1959 to 1960, the Contina-matic III was the 'flagship' model, and the successor to the Contina III. It was fitted with an interchangeable Pantar lens in a Prontor SVS shutter, and unlike it's predecesor, the camera had a fully-coupled exposure meter. As`with many other cameras of the era, only the front component of the 45mm f/2.8 Pantar standard lens was actually interchangeable, with the remainder of the lens staying in the shutter.
The choice of accessory lenses was limited to a 30mm f/4 Pantar and a 75mm f/4 Pantar. These were lenses that the Contina-matic III shared with the earlier Contina III model, and the Contaflex Alpha, Beta and Prima SLRs. The viewfinder has bright-lines to show the field-of-view of both the 45mm and 75mm lenses and a neat accessory finder was available to suit the field-of-view of the 30mm f/4 lens.
