Zenith Gouda Holland Art Deco Hand-Painted Floral Jug, Pattern 1027-1R — c.1930s Dutch Earthenware

Maker: Zenith (Plateelbakkerij en Pijpenfabriek Zenith), Gouda, Netherlands. Zenith was a historic Gouda maker that added art pottery production in 1915; this jug is hand-painted in a bright Art Deco floral with an orange rim and a yellow-glazed interior. Base marked Zenith-Gouda / Holland with pattern 1027-1R and painters initials AB. 

Material: Glazed earthenware, hand-painted.

Design & era: Sponged apricot ground with stylised flowers and leaves, bold brown outlining, orange lip, and sunny yellow interiortypical late-1920s/1930s Gouda styling. 

Use: Decorative display jug, small flower posy, kitchen shelf styling, or addition to a Gouda pottery collection.

Measurements: 9 cm (height), 8 cm max width, rim Ø 6 cm

Markings: Hand-painted script Zenith-Gouda / Holland, pattern 1027-1R, painter initials AB.

Condition Notes

• Presents well with good gloss.

• All-over age crazing; interior tea stains and circular marks (see top-view).

• Minor rim rubs/scuffs; no obvious cracks, chips, or repairs seen.

• Expected shelf wear to the base.
