About this Item

Warmly signed and inscribed and dated on the title page by Wilbur Smith: "For Yvonne, with thanks for many miles of happy travel, Warmest Regards, Wilbur Smith. 22nd June 1995". First Edition published by MacMillan in London in 1995, and with the full number line as required in a true first edition. Near fine, as new, clean and tight, in a near fine as new dust jacket, not price clipped, and protected since acquisition in plastic with no tape, making it very well preserved with a tiny bit of pushing with no tears or loss on the top of the spine caused by previous plastic cover. New protective plastic cover with no tape. This 674 page hardback book is large and heavy and may require extra charges if sent overseas. Yvonne Lewin was travel agent for the very well travelled Wilbur Smith in Cape Town. She always went the extra mile for him. Wilbur Smith travelled a lot, both for enjoyment and of course to research locations for his books, including Egypt, for his Ancient Egypt series. Yvonne organized all his trips to Egypt, giving the previous owner a close connection to the book. She would have been among the first people to receive a rare signed and inscribed copy
