A historic 1897 Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek Three Pence, catalogued as KM#3, struck in 92.5% sterling silver during the Boer Republic era. Small silver ZAR denominations are especially popular with collectors due to their scarcity, historical importance and connection to pre-Union South African history.

The reverse features the denomination within a laurel wreath, while the obverse carries the portrait associated with the Republic period. A strong addition to any South African, Boer War or world silver coin collection.

Approximately VF to XF condition with moderate light circulation wear, clear date and denomination, pleasing surfaces and scattered handling marks consistent with age.
