Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek: Small Collection of Cheques & related items

The items are the following:-

• Memorandum from De Nationale Bank der Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek Beperkt, dated Johannesburg 5 August 1889
• Cheque from De Nationale Bank der Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek Beperkt, dated Johannesburg 17 August 1894
• Promissory Note payable at the Nationale Bank, Johannesburg dated 28 January 1899. It is signed at the back by the Tesaurier for De Stadsraad Johannesburg with a stamp-duty stamp for 1 Shilling and Sixpence.
• Receipt from the Stadsraad Johannesburg (repaired) dated 15 July 1899
• Note sent by Mr. Preller via a  Mrs. Rose to pickup a bond (?) addressed to J N Joubert and Teo Beckess (?). Difficult to read. The Preller mention might have been the editor of Land en Volk and later De Volkstem.
• Lastly, a Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (Worcester) Cheque for 100 Pounds dated 27 April 1897.

Some research is required on all the pieces as the names of companies and persons are noted on the items - a fascinating lot.
