Unrecorded by Laidlaw. Probably very rare.

The medals were issued for the "Fonds ten behoeve v/h Hollandsch Onderwijs in Zuid Afrika"

They are 59 mm in diameter and weigh  81.7 grams (bronze) and 63.1 grams (silver). The silver medal is stamped “zilver” on the edge.
