This poster was created in 1979 to advertise the Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees in Paris, France. Best known and celebrated for his painting, drawing, sculpting and ceramics, Picasso co-founded the Cubist movement and is credited with co-founding several other important movements. 

The poster design features his 1924 painting "Paul as Harlequin".

Pablo Picasso was a world famous Spanish painter, sculptor, poet and playwright and regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.  

The exhibition was set up in Grand Palais in Paris in 1979-8
