Sekelmaan is an account of lost love and grew out of Smit's torrid relationship with WEG Louw (brother of NP van Wyk Louw) in 1931/32 while they were both students. The coarse cloth boards are clean and undamaged - 145 pg. >>> Hettie Smit, van mev. S.J. van Vuuren (19081973), was 'n skryfster wat veral bekend is vir haar roman Sy kom met die sekelmaan (1937) wat in 'n dagboek- en briefvorm geskryf is en oorspronklik in 1937 deur die Vereniging vir die Vrye Boek in uitgegee is. Dit staan bekend as die eerste bieg- of belydenisroman in Afrikaans en is gegrond op die briefwisseling tussen Smit en die skywer en digter . Dié boek het meer as 10 herdrukke beleef en is in 2001 opgevoer met en spelleiding deur Juanita Swanepoel. Hiernaas volg daar ook 'n aantal jeugstukke, artikels en resensies uit haar pen.
