Hardcover third impression published May 1955 by Werner Laurie, in what remains of a heavily tape-reinforced jacket. The black boards with gilt titling are clean and square, with light wear to extremities. The pages are tanned, particularly the endpapers. There are short neat handwritten extracts from the book "Under Ten Flags" by Bernhard Rogge at several points throughout the book, as well as another note written on card, taped to the first endpaper along the bottom edge.
