ADVANTAGES
APPLICATIONS
- Pretreatment of metal substrates such as aluminium, steel, copper, brass.
- Pretreatment of powder-coated metals.
- Pretreatment of lacquered metals (test the substrate for adhesion and possible damage in advance).
- Pretreatment of polyester (GRP), ABS and PVC.
PROPERTIES
- Fast drying; approximately 5 minutes.
- Easy to use: cleaner and pretreatment in one.
- Efficient in use.
METHOD OF USE
Substrate must be dry, clean, dust-free and grease-free. Keep the packaging well closed until the moment of use. Open the tin and puncture the film. Do not use Prep M direct from the original packaging. Pour as much Prep M into a glass or tin as can be used within 30 minutes and close the tin again immediately. Prep M must not be applied in too thick a coat. Firmly rub the surface to be treated with a clean, fluff- and dye-free cloth or tissue paper, wetted with Prep M. In this way the surfaces will be cleaned and pretreated in one operation. Replace the cloth or tissue when dirty. After a drying time of approximately 5 minutes (solvents must evaporate) the adhesive can be applied. Best results are obtained when the bonding is performed within six hours after application of Prep M. Therefore do not apply more Prep M than can be bonded within six hours Avoid contact with the pretreated surface, as this may adversely affect adhesion.
Consumption: The consumption of Prep M is approx. 20 m2 per 1 liter.
Note:
STORAGE AND STABILITY
Store in cool, dry conditions between +5 and +30 C. Prep M has a shelf life of at least nine months in unopened original packaging.
