Info: Classic European styled Gravy Boat with a floral pattern and a fixed underplate that would grace any table setting.
A special occasions gravy boat or for the display cabinet.
MZ = Moritz Zdekauer, the Prague Bank that purchased the Stara Role Pottery in Czechoslovakia in the 1880's on auction when the business ran into difficulties.
The factory kept going after the Second World War as a nationalised concern and was incorporated into Carlsbad Porcelain in 1958.
The company (Starorolský porcelán Moritz Zdekauer, a. s. was privatised in 1992 and continued to produce porcelain under the crowned eagle and MZ mark. It was wound up in 2013 but the manufacturing continued as Bohemia Porcelán Moritz Zdekauer 1810 s.r.o, who purchased the trademark and assets of the old company. Porcelain continues to be produced using the crowned eagle with stretched wings and initialis MZ.
Condition: Very Good, as all the decor is unmarked and the gold edging is still largely intact, no marks or scratched, an unused Gravy Boat.
