This is a photo of the complete painting and framing. The art comes with it's original inner frame which makes the art more valuable.  Unfortunately the outer frame had some accident and was broken when I purchased it some time ago.  I chose a special new outer frame and had it re-framed. The art comes from an estate and the auctioneers were not allowed to reveal the owner of the Carcnel art.

Lucia Carcnel was a 20th century Italian Visual artist (born in Breganziol 1903 and died in Milano 1998). Various work of the artist was sold at art auctions including Frazione Cadorina (meriggio) sold at Artesegno Auctions '34the Contemporary International Art Auction' - first session Local art from 'Friuli Venezia Giulia' in 2015. 

It is painted with oil on avoriolina (no English word for it but a hard type of paper used by artists in that time).  There are 2 paintings very similar to this one on Artnet on the internet which the artist called 'paesaggio 1 & 2' (Landscape 1 & 2)  (Maybe I can call this one [Paessaggio 3, Going to Town]). Artnet has visuals of 48 paintings of Licio Carcnel on display 

If you google the artist, then he did not date his art.  A gold plaque is visible on the inner original frame 'L. Carcnel'. This piece is part of my private collection.  I have collected art now for about 20 years, and now and then you need to sell art to fund other purchases.

Four figures are walking towards a town at a time where there were no roads and motorcars would come in the future. When you google his art, Arcadja Auctions value the painting they had for auction between 1000 and 2000 GBP about R24 000 and R48 000.  Another auctioneer valued one of his paintings at R84 000
