Virgin Soil Upturned - By Mikhail Sholokhov

 Hardcover, first English edition published by Putnam in England, September 1935. The unclipped paper jacket is rubbed and edge-worn, with several small tears, and a few holes on the folds. The spine of the jacket is sunned, and there is a small stain to the base of the spine on the reverse. The boards are neat, clean and square, with only a few minor bumps in places. There is light dust-soiling to the top of the pages, and some very mild spotting to some of the preliminary pages, as well as to the vertical edge of the pages. Otherwise, the pages are all clean and unmarked.
