Rare Victorian 'S.A. Constabulary' Hat Badge (Pre-1902)
(This badge is part of a private collection that was collected 25 years ago)
This rare, original Victorian, white metal slouch hat badge (open centre with rosette version) was worn by the 'South African Constabulary' prior to 1902. This badge is backed by a brown leather 'rosette' which appears as if it could have been green originally. The badge and leather 'rosette' are in excellent condition with both lugs intact and it measures 60mm x 56mm.
