Hardcover, new and cheaper edition with additional appendix, published August 1893 by Longmans, Green, and Co, no jacket. The boards are clean, with some minor wear to extremities, and a slight lean to the spine. The fold-out map between the first end-paper and the title page is present, but with a short tear at the edge nearest the binding. Apart from some scattered and light foxing / spotting, the pages are clean and unmarked. Many illustrations from sketches and photographs. By J. Theodore Bent, F.S.A.
