Hardcover, first published 1955 by Hollis & Carter. The unclipped paper jacket has some minor loss to the edges, and small tears in places. The spine is sunned and has a small hole in it. The boards are clean and square, with bumped corners, and small patches of sunning on the head and foot of the spine. Apart from general ageing, all pages are clean and unmarked. Illustrated with several black and white photographs. The author describes an expedition to track down the Yeti. "Apart from the search for the 'snowman,' the narrative investigates every aspect of life in this the highest habitable region of the earth's surface, the flora and fauna of the little-known alpine zone below the snow line.."
