An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, 20th Century Gurkha 'Dhankute' Tribal Kukri w/ Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with detailed inlaid Relief on obverse. All Bladelets present - Chakmak & Karda matching and sharpened. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Scabbard is secure and in good order.
The Dhankute variant of the Kukri Knife , originates in the Hill Villages of Eastern Nepal - and feature a Carved hardwood handle & Buffalo leather Scabbard. An inlay of brass is often present depicting a Tribal pattern or Relief.
