The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Nutria Helmet Cover is present and detailed with Visor and foliage band.Item remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Material appears in good order - NOTE : A SMALL FIELD REPAIR IS EVIDENT BELOW VISOR MOUNT. Adjustable Drawstring at rear and velcro tabs are present. Size label remains legible and intact. Pigment appears good- small degree of sun-based fading.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF Nutria Cloth M87 Ballistic Helmet Cover. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed retractable Visor and foliage retention band.  All velcro securing tabs and Drawstring present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Material appears in overall good order. NOTE: A small field repair has  been effected with hand stitching , in the region below the Visor. All size labels are present in lining. 

This piece would have been utilised by members of the SADF with the Nutria Fielddress Uniform - whilst performing Counter-Insurgency and Offensive Action in the Operational Area of SWA / Southern Angola.
