C. Johnson was in the directories from 1893 right up into the 1960s and traded his aerated waters as Phoenix Works. The bottle is hazy as a result of being buried, but there are no chips or cracks and the embossing stands out well. The Phoenix Trade Mark is quite striking. The maker is indicated as D. R. L. 4. (which is a bit of a mystery to me !)
