The Old Mill by Johnson Brothers was in production from 1952 to 1977.
An Old line of ironstone - no longer in production.
The Old Mill is a vintage fall or winter style pattern made in England by "2 Johnson Bros". This 16cm rim-shaped bread and butter plate features a traditional English mill scene in shades of Brown and hand-applied highlights of pink, orange, and blue. Their decorations under the glaze are permanent & acid resistant/food acidic-resistant.
CONDITION: Pre 💗/ Utilized in Great condition
This piece offered is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, or discolorations. This small plate shows no surface crazing or utensil marking, and seems virtually unused. The base or reverse of this plate has a tiny patch of uneven glazing (view listed photo 4), including factory resting point or stilt marks, and, does not usually adversely affect the value of these vintage pieces.
