D3 = Pot diameter: 24mm (full size)

250k pots are usually used for volume control and tone control on single coil pickups

Split shafts are suitable for push-on control knobs, solid shafts are suitable for knobs that have a tightening screw.
15mm Shaft pots are normally used for Fender style guitars or guitars with plastic pickguards that the pot goes through
18mm Shaft pots are normally used for Gibson style guitars as they often have wood that the pots must go through.
What is the difference between A pots and B pots?
"A" would denote an audio taper pot (most of the control happens between 7 - 10) and the "B" suffix would denote a linear taper pot (more even roll-off between 0 - 10)
A and B pots however are interchangeable and the only difference is the taper of the pot, or "how gradually it rolls off". Most manufacturers use either audio taper (A) pots for volume + tone or would use liner taper (B) for volume, and audio taper (A) for tone. This is also determined by player preference. Most players who play at high gain / volume levels prefer Audio taper as it cleans up quicker when rolling back and at high volume levels Audio taper pots sound more linear to our ears, this is not the case when playing at low volume levels, when playing at "bedroom volume" linear for volume is more even to the ears.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
1 x Potentiometer
1 x Washer
1 x Nut
When ordering 250k pots, the shaft length is 15mm, this is the right length to go through a pickguard and come out the other side with just enough space for your standard volume / tone knobs to fit on. If you use a 500k pot on a pickguard, you would need an extra nut and washer to make a spacer at the back otherwise your knobs won't sit flush with the pickguard, please purchase extra "nut and spacer for full size pots" should you wish to create a spacer.
